Therapy and Education

Additionally to her artistic work, Ilil Land-Boss is also a drama therapist, facilitator for community theatre and pedagogical work in several contexts (schools, prisons, psychiatry and more), and lecturer and trainer in universities and academies (since 2000), among others HMT Hochschule für Musik und Theater Rostock, HKT Hochschule für Kunsttherapie Nürtingen, Akademie der Kulturellen Bildung Remscheid, and more.

2017 – 2018 Artistic guest professorship in the drama therapy study course, HfWU Nürtingen- Geislingen.

She received her training in drama therapy at the German Society for Drama Therapy (DGfT – Deutsche Gesellschaft für Theatertherapie) with the Catholic University of Applied Sciences Freiburg and the Institute for Theatre Therapy.

She is also a non-medical practitioner of psychotherapy (Heilpraktikerin Psychotherapie) and has had numerous further training courses in systemic family reconstruction, dance therapy, trauma work, the LifeArtProcess by Anna Halprin and more.

Special interests in therapeutic work: mourning, rites of passage and initiation, healing in different cultural contexts, contexts of political conflicts, collective trauma, queerness.

As an educator, Ilil Land-Boss has worked in various state projects with dance and theatre (‘Kultur und Schule’ NRW, ‘180°-Drehung – Tanz in belasteten Sozialräumen’, NRW-Landesbüro Tanz, ‘Come 2 Move’ der Caritas Köln, ‘Start it up’ u. v. m.), in all types of schools and in youth centres.

As a lecturer for theatre and theatreeducation, she has been a guest lecturer at the renowned Federal Academy in Remscheid several times since 2003 and led the basic training in theatre education there from 2013 to 2015.
